Arete Jiu Jitsu Collective is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy focused on technical excellence, personal growth, and building a community where anyone can learn, improve, and challenge themselves.
Constant improvement through deliberate practice and attention to detail.
Showing up, embracing challenges, and committing to the process.
An environment where students support each other's growth.
Remaining open to learning regardless of experience or rank.
Solving problems both on and off the mats.
We teach you to understand concepts, not memorize techniques. The goal is not knowing more moves. It is becoming a better problem solver — under pressure, with a thinking partner across from you.
For beginners and experienced practitioners alike — self-defense, competition, and fitness. A structured curriculum that meets you where you are and asks for honest effort.

Before coaching full-time, he spent 10 years as a Quality Engineer at BAE Systems. That systems-based, analytical thinking shapes AJC's philosophy: developing adaptable martial artists through intentional practice and a focus on understanding — not just memorizing.
Professional space. Competition-quality mats. A community that values the craft over the performance of toughness.
No experience required. Come see how thoughtful training feels.
